Working closely with creative powerhouse Jana + Koos, the curious and charismatic personality of Gorgeous George was brought to life and carefully woven into every touchpoint of the hotel experience.
Thoughtful collaborations with Cape Town’s top creatives resulted in sharable and unique collateral for the space from the architecture, styling, art and food down to the staff wardrobe.

The Lucky Charms conceptualised and executed a campaign for use across digital channels to promote spontaneous staycation bookings and day visitors by highlighting the breakfast menu, room service offerings and lifestyle elements of the hotel
The Ask:
We developed and executed a comprehensive global launch campaign for Gorgeous George to secure local and global coverage across all media platforms pre, and post-launch. Media outreach, press trips and brand partnerships resulted in coverage for the brand in over 75 publications including Travel + Leisure, Conde Nast Traveller, Forbes, Wallpaper* and SURFACE.

The Ask:
HGL was tasked with extending Gorgeous Georges playful brand personality into memorable take-home items for hotel guests:
- Designed and developed a unique hotel scent and in-room toiletries in collaboration with local brand SCENT
- Sourcing and design of in-room pillow menu
- Curation of locally sourced mini-bar items
- Design & production of room guest key cards, stationery and signage
- Design & production of leather-bound guest info book
- Design, production and import of luxury guest robes (also available for purchase)
- Design, production and import of branded tote bag
- Translated Jana + Koos brand identity into a Gorgeous George scarf showcasing Cape Town’s icons and an insider map of things to do in and around Cape Town.
